Felicity's curls

Does anyone know if Felicity always had 3 curls on each side of her face? I have an old felicity doll with the brighter red hair that I am fixing up. I can only find two groups of short hairs on each side of her head. Is it possible she only had 2 sets orriginally?

Yes. Some of the old ones only have 4 curls, 2 on each side. The new Felicity's have 6 curls, 3 on each side. Yours could very well have 4 if she is an older version. Hope this helps.

Really? I didnt know her curls were supposed to be so precise because my Lissie has only three! Two on one side and only one curl on the other. I guess shes special! [img]graemlins/smarty.gif[/img]

Thanks! I was driving myself nuts looking for more short hairs, and just couldn't find them. It's nice to know that she may have just come with fewer curls.

Actually, no. At least I don't think so. There was a thread about this about a month ago, do a search on Felicity's curls and you'll probably find the topic. The thing with Felicity is that her third curl on each side is so far back that it's often brushed away. You might find shorter pieces of hair on the sides of her head. My Felicity is from '95 and she has 6 curls, and some others here have older Felicitys with 6 as well. On my Felicity, the last 2 curls were brushed away and I recently pulled the hairs aside, and they still had a little curl to them. Your Felicity's curls are probably refurbishable as well. My daughter has a newer Felicity (2003) and she came with only four pin curls.

See, I think it is possible to have 4. I guess there is some on the newer ones, but my cousin has a Liss from '91 and she has 4 curls.

My Felicity is one of the earlier brighter red hair dolls. She has the c above the Pleasant Co on the back of her neck. She must have only come with 4 pin curls because even picking through the lower parts of her hair I cannot find short hair that could be pin curls. I think I will just wind the 4 up and take the steamer to them to try to set them tight again. Thanks for the comments.

Well I searched through Felicitys hair to see if I had accidently brushed back some of her curls [img]redface.gif[/img] But I couldnt find any, so she I guess she does have only three! She's from 1993 too if that makes a differance. Oh well, I still love her! I like it better that way actually cuz I think the curls get in the way when pulling her back, but thats just me. Anyway, its past midnight and that means only one week until my birthday! And Lissies! [img]graemlins/cake.gif[/img]
